Q4: Where can I find the SOCSO contribution table?

Please refer to https://www.perkeso.gov.my/en/rate-of-contribution.html, under the section “Rate of contribution for Employees’ Social Security Act 1969 (Act 4)”.

Q5: Why is my SOCSO contribution not exactly 0.5% of my salary?

Please DON’T simply calculate the SOCSO contribution based on exact 0.5% (0.5% * Monthly Salary). You should always follow the amounts stated on the SOCSO contribution table.

This also applies to the employer contribution amount.
